“Here we are, face to face, a couple of silver spoons…”

Former “Silver Spoons” and “NYPD Blue” star Ricky Schroder filmed himself confronting a Costco employee who refused to allow him to enter the store without wearing a mask.

“Why aren’t you letting me in?” the bare-faced actor asked in a video of the dispute that he shared on his Facebook page.

The mask-wearing Costco employee responded by explaining that the store requires face masks to enter since the state of California and the county of Los Angeles still have a mask mandate in place.

Schroder correctly argued that the CDC recently said that masks are no longer necessary in most circumstances for those who are fully vaccinated, but he then mistakenly argued that Costco had already said its customers do not need to wear masks nationwide.

The employee corrected Schroder by saying that Costco stores still follows local requirements. The employee also said that it’s possible that California’s policy would change in June.

Schroder interrupted: “Oh if allow us, if they grant us that, our kings? The people in power? You’re going to listen to these people? They’ve destroyed our economy, they’re destroying our culture, they’re destroying our state, and you’re just going to listen to their rules.”

Schroder then turned the camera on himself, to call for a boycott.

“I’m getting my refund, I’m getting my refund from Costco,” he said. “I suggest everybody in California get their refund from Costco. Give up your membership to Costco until they remove this.”

The video ends with a manager of the membership warehouse store giving Schroder a refund receipt.

Schroder later posted another video to his Facebook page in which he apologized to the individual Costco employee.

“Jason, nothing personal, I’m not upset with you or anybody in a position like you have that works for a living. I understand that you are following their laws and rules,” he said. “I was trying to make a point to the corporate overlords and I’m sorry I had to use you to do it. If I hurt your feelings, I apologize, but I do think that independence from medical tyranny is more important than hurting people’s feelings.”

“I want us all to be free. I don’t want this COVID reality they want, COVID passports, I just don’t want it, and neither should you.”
