Bette Midler Dances On Rush Limbaugh’s Grave

Bette Midler shared an image portraying Rush Limbaugh as a member of the KKK, less than one week after the conservative talk radio host’s death due to cancer. 

The actress on Monday shared a political cartoon featuring eight figures dressed in white robes and hoods that are synonymous with the KKK, along with the caption “Find Rush Limbaugh.” One of the figures in the image is wearing the Presidential Medal of Freedom.  

Limbaugh was awarded the Presidential Medal of freedom by former President Donald Trump during his 2020 State of the Union address. 

The Presidential Medal of Freedom is the nation’s highest civilian honor.

On the day Limbaugh died, Midler implied that she thinks Limbaugh is in hell. She reacted to the news by saying on twitter that Limbaugh “has gone to his reward. Bet it’s hot.” 

Then, in response to former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich’s post mourning Limbaugh’s passing, Midler called Limbaugh “one of the vilest reptiles who ever trolled the planet.” She also said that many people feel an outpouring of joy at his demise.

Gingrich posted a message that said, “Rush Limbaugh’s passing is a tragic moment. Callista and my sympathies go out to his family and loved ones. He was a wonderful man and one of the great heroic figures of the conservative movement.” 

Midler replied, “No, #Newt, his BIRTH was a tragic moment.  He was one of the vilest reptiles who ever trolled the planet.  And of course, birds of a feather, Newt.  Mend your ways, lest YOUR death bring the outpouring of joy so many feel at his demise.”

Midler’s acting credits include “The First Wives Club,” “Hocus Pocus,” and “Beaches.” As a singer, she won a Grammy award for Best New Artist, the song “The Rose” and her album “Wind Beneath My Wings.”
